HUNDREDS VISIT CORN EXCHANGE

Hundreds of people visited The Corn Exchange during our Open Evening which was part of the Crickhowell late night opening event. They met our new tenants, zero waste shop, Natural Weigh, and Odonnell Bakehouse who both organised pop-up shops. Shareholders, shoppers and potential tenants toured our shop and the two one bedroom flats we have for rent. Among them were the Brecon and Radnor MP, Chris Davies and the Green Party Deputy Leader, Amelia Womack. Our visitors book had pages of positive comments about the project and the work of our builder, Celtic Property and Lettings Ltd.

Dean Christy explains the Corn Exchange project to the Deputy Leader of the UK Green Party, Amelia Womack, Russel Warfield and The Leader of the Green Party in Wales, Grenville Ham.

Dean shows Brecon and Radnor MP, Chris Davies and Mayor of Crickhowell, Phil Williams, around one of the flats.

Amelia Womack tries out one of the self service hoppers under the watchful gaze of Chloe Masefield of Natural Weigh.

Michelle and Darryl of Odonnell Bakehouse giving out samples of their delicious brownies.

Chris Davies tries out the hoppers, too.

Sahreholders came from far and wide to see how their money has been spent.

IT’S UP!

It’s up! The old Corn Exchange Pub sign is now back, hanging on the front of the building. But it now has wording more suited to its new use as shop and flats and reflecting the contribution of everyone who has been involved.

A GREAT SIGN FOR THE CORN EXCHANGE

Soon to make a welcome reappearance in The High Street – the original Corn Exchange hanging pub sign, re-purposed to reflect the new use of the building. Thank you, Chris Prior Graphics of Llangattock. We are very close to finishing, we just need to complete the painting. We are very nearly there. #crickhowell #saveourhighstreet #shoptorent #flatstorent

A NEW COAT OF PAINT FOR THE CORN EXCHANGE

We are very close to finishing at The Corn Exchange. Drying out the building after it had been standing empty for 18th months has had to be done carefully and it has taken a little time. Do it too quickly and you risk damaging the new surfaces. If you paint while it is still damp, the paint can peel. We are nearly there.
